Nina Maketo — General Manager, Sun Suites Stockbridge, GA

My background has always been service oriented. Even though I have a BS degree in Justice Studies, I still never quite managed to find a career in that field that appealed to me. Early in 2009, while working as a hostess in an Atlanta area restaurant, I met Ms. Dot Reed, Regional/Field Support Leader for Park Management Group. I shared with her that I was looking for a challenging career and was interested in hospitality. Within two weeks I was the new Assistant General Manager at the Sun Suites of Stockbridge. I made it my mission to learn as much as I could about this industry and my overall role as a manager for PMG. My hard work and dedication paid off and I was promoted to General Manager in August of 2010. At PMG, everyone is important.
