Elmer Garcia — Group / District Manager, Houston/Corpus Christi, TX
My career with PMG started in March 2000 as a part time front desk associate. I came from a retail background but quickly fell in love with the hotel industry, and within a few months I was promoted to an Assistant General Manager position. A couple of months later I was promoted to General Manager, and with a lot of hard work and dedication I have been promoted to my current role as Group Manager. I currently oversee 5 properties. PMG has given me the opportunity to travel across the country to work with, and train, a lot of great team members; some of which currently hold positions as Front Desk Supervisors, Assistant General Managers, General Managers, and Group Managers. Seeing those whose careers I have had the opportunity to help build succeed is the most gratifying feeling of my career at PMG.
